Introduction to Storytelling explores the world of narrative-driven travel experiences. This micro-course is crafted for individuals wanting to unlock the art and science behind effective storytelling, including tour guides, travel enthusiasts, hospitality professionals, and anyone passionate about creating unforgettable travel experiences.

Upon completing this course, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of storytelling and be able to start putting things in to practice. You will also have the foundational knowledge necessary for more advanced training where you can fully develop your storytelling ability.

• Identify the elements of a compelling tourism story 
• Discuss the importance of respecting and integrating local cultural stories     
• Learn how to create unique stories for specific tour experiences     

Important information

This course is delivered in four short online modules. The course can be completed in about one hour. The course includes a 12-question, multiple choice quiz based on the course material. A mark of 80 per cent is required to pass. You have three attempts to complete the quiz. You will receive a certificate of completion which you can download after successfully passing the quiz. Your Introduction to Storytelling certificate is valid for five years.
