Anita Makrodimitriou, Food and Beverage Person Journeyperson

Anita Makrodimitriou, Food and Beverage Person Journeyperson, 2023My name is Anita Makrodimitriou. This year, I received my journeyperson trade certification as a Food and Beverage Person. It is my second certification, as I already previously received certification as Guest Services Representative.

I joined the Park Town Hotel in 2013 as a front desk agent and was given an opportunity to grow within the hotel. In 2019, I was promoted to the position of Catering Manager.

I did work in hotel industry in Poland as well in Greece. Working in this international environment gave me an opportunity to realize how much I enjoy meeting with people and working with people from all over the world.

When I moved to Canada I knew working in hospitality industry would be something that I will continue to enjoy. The best part of my job is helping people make great memories during their stay in the hotel as well during their meetings and events with us.

I decided to become a Food and Beverage Person journeyperson because I wanted to become better in my job and have more confidence with everything I do, I know it will help me to be better prepared for anything in my day to day responsibilities.
