Friday, September 17 2021
Congratulations to Haley Beswick, Bill Noble and Ashlyn Weninger at Wheatland Express Excursion Train for recently completing training for their professional certifications.
Haley has completed training for emerit Food and Beverage Server and Event Co-ordinator. Before joining Wheatland Express, Haley was a certified journeyperson in the Guest Services Representative trade, which includes Front Desk Agent and Reservation Sales Agent emerit professional certifications.
Bill has completed training for emerit Food and Beverage Server. Earlier this year, we also congratulated Bill for completing his certification as emerit Heritage Interpreter.
Ashlyn completed two certifications this year. She first completed emerit Event Co-ordinator and then achieved her certification as emerit Event Manager.
Wheatland Express jumped on board quickly when Tourism Saskatchewan launched the Pathway to Recovery Training Program, which allowed employers to train and certify staff during the pandemic under the Re-Open Saskatchewan Training Subsidy.
Providing training and professional development opportunities does more than help employees build their skill sets. It also gives employers an advantage in delivering their best service to customers and in attracting and retaining a highly qualified workforce.
